Welcome to Wilson High School

  Josh Mitchell, HS Principal
mitch“As the High School Principal, I would like to welcome everyone to the Wilson High School webpage.  The future has never looked brighter for our students.  Our school is dedicated to helping all students be successful academically, socially, and emotionally. As educators we want to help all students obtain an education that they will be proud to own, now and for the rest of their lives. We believe that we are preparing leaders for tomorrow and pledge to support their development through a comprehensive program of study grounded in academics, athletics and arts! We invite parents and the community to join in our efforts in creating a school that makes us all proud. I hope this year is exciting, enjoyable, rewarding, and memorable for everyone! It’s time to bring back the Wilson Schools that I cherished and took pride in many years ago...let’s bring back the BLACK & GOLD FOREVER!  GO EAGLES!!!”

“High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.” This quote is credited to Charles Kettering who was a successful inventor, engineer, and business man.  I believe we all know this to be true. At Wilson Schools we are striving to hold your child to a higher standard, greater expectations. We believe by doing so, they will strive harder to reach those expectations.

You hear a lot about testing these days, and we are working hard to raise our test scores; however, that is not our end goal.  Testing is simply a means to assess what your child has learned. Please support us in this endeavor. Encourage your child to excel in school, take time to read to or with them, ask what they studied in school today, make a quiet place for them to study or read, in other words create a home environment conducive to learning.  We cannot reach our higher expectations alone. We need your help. Our goal is provide the best education possible so your child has endless possibilities for their future. Thank you for supporting all of us at Wilson Schools.”
